Paediatric Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
From infancy to adolescence, we support children’s movement and daily living skills through comprehensive assessment and an individual programme.
We Assess Your Child’s Motor Development as a Whole
Paediatric physiotherapy is the field that supports children’s movement, balance, posture and daily living skills from infancy through adolescence. At Trea Kids the process always begins with a comprehensive assessment; goals are set together according to the child’s age, diagnosis and the family’s daily routine.
Who Is It For?
- Cerebral palsy and other neurological diagnoses
- Muscle diseases and neuromuscular conditions
- Delay in motor development milestones
- Postural problems, scoliosis, foot conditions
- Genetic and metabolic syndromes
- Babies born prematurely
How Does the Process Work?
- Detailed assessment of developmental history and current skills
- Establishing a baseline with standard tests and scales
- Writing short- and long-term goals together with the family
- Play-based sessions that keep the child motivated
- Regular re-assessment and programme updates
Why Start Early?
In childhood the nervous system is highly open to learning and reshaping. A regular, goal-directed physiotherapy programme started at the right time improves movement quality, slows the development of secondary problems (joint restriction, postural deformity) and supports the child’s independence.
We do not confine therapy to the clinic. We teach families exercises they can apply at home, positioning advice and small adjustments that fit into the daily routine.
What you may be wondering
We answer the questions on your mind with confidence, so parents can feel at ease.
Which age group does Trea Kids work with?
Trea Kids is a paediatric neurorehabilitation centre specialised in children aged 0–12. Because intervention is far more effective in early childhood, priority is given to the 0–6 age group.
How long does intensive therapy last?
Our intensive therapy programmes are usually planned over 3 to 6 weeks, with sessions of 1 to 2 hours, five days a week. The duration and intensity are set according to the child’s needs following the assessment.
What is TheraTogs and can every child use it?
TheraTogs is a wearable therapy garment that supports a child’s posture and movement control. It is not suitable for every child; suitability is decided after an initial assessment and the system is adjusted individually.
Can families take part in the therapy process?
Absolutely. Family involvement is very important at Trea Kids. We give feedback about the sessions, suggest supportive activities to do at home and make the family an active part of the process.
Is an assessment carried out before the sessions?
Yes. Before any of our services, the child’s physical, emotional and developmental status is assessed in detail. Goals are set and the therapy plan is built on the results of that assessment.
